Michael Fairrington has worked in the halls of government and advocacy since 2020, starting his career as an intern for Representative Shepard of Onslow County and then moving to working with House Appropriations Chairman Kyle Hall of Stokes County. While working with Chairman Hall, Michael worked on the state budget, specifically local projects.

Before joining Kairos, Michael worked as the Government Affairs Manager at The North Carolina Sustainable Energy Association where he led the government affairs work to advance North Carolina’s clean energy economy. Michael received a B.A. in Political Science with a focus in domestic politics from Coastal Carolina before obtaining a Masters in Public Administration from North Carolina State University.

Michael and his wife, Simone, live in Staley with their newborn son.
